Chapman University began as Hesperian College in Woodland, California, on March 4, 1861—the same day Abraham Lincoln took his first inauguration. After decades in its founding location, the university moved to its present Orange campus in 1954 and took the name Chapman College in honor of benefactor C.C. Chapman. It became Chapman University in 1991 and now operates as a research institution with over 50,000 alumni worldwide.

Today, Chapman's main campus on University Drive in Orange offers undergraduate and graduate education across a diverse range of disciplines: business, engineering, film and media arts, law, pharmacy, performing arts, and liberal arts. The university employs hundreds of faculty members and attracts students from around the world to study in Orange, making it one of the city's largest employers and educational anchors.

Students and families connected to Chapman often experience major life transitions: college years away from home, the start of careers, and eventually starting families of their own. Life insurance becomes relevant at each of these milestones—first for recent graduates with student loans, later for young professionals supporting aging parents or planning for dependents. Term coverage sized to these needs protects the people who depend on you.
